Nothing you’ve wrote here is surprising to me. I’ve never found the web app drumbeat to be compelling. The insistence that it’s the be all end all is myopic and usually the domain of those who are trying to protect turf rather than create great experiences that are secure, powerful, pleasing and fantastically useful.
Thank you for stepping up as a full stack developer and presenting a case without obvious bias in favor of the one web to rule them all. I appreciate it.

Just throwing my opinion out there that we need to treat software as an emergent phenomena that evolves and changes rather than a fixed product that is static once completed.
Universal Basic Robot is a reference to the concept that we can provide everyone a service robot that can perform all the actions necessary to ensure their housing, food and healthcare needs. This is a new idea - the prospect of creating such a versatile helperbot is not new however. Just the concept of giving everyone one instead of giving everyone a stipend.
