Did we need a live version of Lord of The Rings? What was wrong with the print version?
The original Mulan legend is good material as is the original movie. If the new movie had been any good we'd likely all be happy for it.
A Star Was Born has been re-made 4 times. The most recent is the highest rated. Pride and Prejudice has been made several times. I personally really enjoyed the mid 90s version. Mutiny on Bounty has been re-made more than once. I liked the 60s version over the 40s version. I liked the 2005 King Kong (and the 1933 King Kong)
There's nothing wrong with remaking. It's just disappointing when it's a bad remake.
This thread is a microcosm of the problems with the world at large atm. 70% of the response are people frothing at the mouth outrages over those evil "other people" when the other people had nothing but good intentions. Then absolutely refusing to see those good intentions and painting everything as poorly as possible.
Would love to see a video of what this actually means. I'm not sure I've ever written code for which I can use a REPL in any meaningful way so I must be doing it wrong. Videos of actual real world coding/debugging (not examples that are too simple and therefore not real world) would probably be very enlightening.
I mostly do graphics stuff and there are 70 lines of setup until I get to the 1 line that executes something based on the 70 lines of setup. But even in non graphs code my program 1000s of lines, all of which have to execute where as a REPL is one line at a time so yea, a video would really help see how to apply this.
