Not GP, but I guess I'm using the same app. You guess (and then it gives you the price up front). 10 minutes before it expires it asks you if you want to extend it. There might also have been a detect if you drive away and stop feature (don't recall).
Mostly these days all paid parking has registration camera's, and it just starts and stops parking for you automatically. However, there are like 3 or so apps that compete here so you need a profile with all of them for this to work and you also need to enable this on all the apps.
I would just like an option without the smart-stuff. It seems impossible to find, it's either very small and ugly TVs or built for something else like digital signage and very expensive.
I also have the impression that "everyone" buys an apple tv/Chromecast/etc anyways because of limitations in the smart tv or just ease of use. It makes a lot of sense to have these things separated except for TV manufacturers that want you to buy a TV more frequently.
The obvious one to me was how COVID came in 2020 and put the world into quarantine making and actual change in how people work remotely. The technology was there in the 2010s, but something external changed our usage. Of course, it looks like it is trending backwards again with companies forcing workers back to the office, at least partially.
Politics across the globe seems more insane than ever. Maybe I wasn't paying attention 10 years ago.
