I think the problem with "AI assisted" is that it triggers the same alarm bells as AI slop, justified or not, so many readers just turn off. I personally rather read "shitty" writing than AI assisted writing.
I've worked at companies that don't outright require it, but they utilize a few workaholic employees to set an expectation sane people can't live up to. It creates a stressful environment where expectations are unclear. Combine that with the current job market and you effectively hold your employees hostage.
This is the most frustrating problem I have. I do my 40 hours per week, play with my kids, relax with the wife, and play some video games. I don't really have any other problems besides not enough time in the day. And yet when I learn about some domain specific problem, it is blindingly obvious.
I was waiting for the steam machine and grew impatient. I instead built a PC to go behind our family room TV. I gave bazzite a chance before committing to a copy of Windows. I'm glad I did. It runs perfectly. Zero hassle, no chasing down drivers. The only thing to be aware of is that a handful of games are not compatible, generally due to their anti-cheat software (e.g. marathon won't run, but arc raiders does.)
Sam might be 7 beers deep, or maybe he's available. In my org, oncall is just who gets the 2am phone call. They can try to contact anyone else if needed.
Claude is there as long as you're paying, and I hope he doesn't hallucinate an answer.
