I feel like that the "patron saints" are not well positioned... Holly Herndon obviously overall thinks it's a good technology, having integrated it within all its music production.

Genuine question: do you write Google search queries in natural language?

> PR executives say UK companies are forcing them to present ordinary automation as artificial intelligence

What a time to be alive

This is badly written? I was gonna try to argument but it just sound like the writer had a bad day configuring a project IAM and put a generic rant online about JWT usage...

If your frontend application connects to multiple protected APIs, you just can't use a session. That's it. Mobile apps and some specific web application need this a lot.

The only true claim I see in this post is > almost every developer shipping it has no idea why.

That's the true problem. JWT is being used as a SSO strategy in the wrong way most of the times.

> A solution is to have the agent run a cli tool to access mcp services.

So the solution to bad design and enshittification is to have an horde of agents to throw at tasks now?

> I don’t know why this is so controversial it’s just a tool

Do you really "don't know why"? Are you sure?

I believe that ignoring the consequences that commercial LLMs are having on the general public today is just as radical as being totally opposed to them. I can at least understand the ethical concerns, but being completely unaware of the debate on artificial intelligence at this stage is really something that leaves me speechless, let me tell you.

I believe this comment is nuts. How the hell are you justifying the removal of a free and common IDE functionality for something that it's rate limited based on usage? In any other context, this would have been called enshittification...
