It seems an interesting project. Don't you think you ditched it too early? There weren't many functionalities, but the premise I think was pretty cool. BTW, I am about to launch a website builder myself and your post is a nice read. Thanks
Thank you for your reply. I am now in "stationary" mode, but I suffered in the past when I was in nomad-mode. I think there are a lot of things to be done in this space. I wish all the best for your startup. I will be following.
Why is it targeting digital nomads? I know they are underserved in this area (and many others), but I would trust more a normal insurance, with a strong foot in my country, but offers an extended plan to digital nomad.
Off-topic: Would you mind to share who made the illustrations of your website? I really love it!
These demos are a good example of using animations. It makes the experience much better, helping the user understand what happened. Good UX IMO. But a lot of websites are not using this way, but throughout the page, popping up almost every element, asking attention for almost everything. This is bad UX because is not helping the user to find what they want. It's distracting and annoying, at least for me.
You should allow requests to add or alter data, mostly like nomadlist.com do (example [1]). The owner could discuss and accept or reject the request. I think it would enrich the plan much quicker. Congrats for the launch!
I think you should display the best summary on the home page list, and a link to know more about and other summaries. Put a minimum threshold for votes to increase first-page quality, and voila, I have a newsletter that I would love to use.
Yes, but what started as a petty project ended up gain momentum and I quite enjoyed doing, so I know that my odds of success are slim, but at least I have learned a ton of interesting things, including server in Erlang, android/java programming, and a myriad of web technologies like react and js-crazy-world.
I think it is an interesting product. I am launching a website builder in a few weeks, and this kind of product (web builder) is more complicated than I initially devise. I wish the best for the team.
It's interesting that the 6-slide pitch deck doesn't have a "team" slide. Maybe was it used in the idea phase?
PS: Thank you. I was looking for something like this.
I don't use FB for a long time, and personally, think that it is a bad choice for your kind of product. I think Telegram would be a better fit. But this is my opinion only.
Yeah, I saw the newsletter after. Maybe separating the box of donating would be better to skim.
Congrats on the launch. It seems you put a lot of work on this and it is refreshing how much of impact it could have. Except for Facebook Messenger, I would love to try. I am sure you are thinking about other messengers. I suggest putting some kind of newsletter on your website.
Edit: ops, now I saw the newsletter box at the end of the website.
