Really sad to read this. TB was (and still is) a huge inspiration for many of us. I have been following him for atleast 5 years and he has teached me lots of things about gaming and the gaming industry. This is a loss for everyone; his influence cannot be understated!
Pretty funny to see an article like this! For a course that I followed I needed to create a paper about the Internet. I chose the topic of RSS and what has let to its so called "death". What I found is that people used RSS but where not aware of it. Then Facebook became big and that became a hugh source of news for many. Now with the exodus happening at Facebook it makes sense that RSS is becoming popular again. Still, this is only the case for tech-savy users and I don't expect that movement to progress into the mainstream.
Those are like different concepts. While Rust macros work on the AST and take AST nodes as arguments C++ templates are a whole meta language that also allows for code execution. I would say that Rust macros mainly do code generation while C++ templates also allow for computation.
I was doing some research today on the topic of RSS and stumbled upon his name. I remembered seeing his name before but did not remember who he was. Now seeing this pop up -- what an uncanny amount of coincidence. He seems like an incredible influential person with a story that must not be forgotten.
