Hello HN, I've been working some time to make the markdown editing experience I always wanted to have and it has come to this, my own CMS. Another one? Yes. Another one. One with no vendor lock-in, easy to deploy, simple to use, based 100% on github, with image upload, drafts support, autosaving, etc. I hope you like it.

I have a Oracle Cloud Free VPS running Wireguard and Caddy that proxies all traffic to the server in my home, a basic cheap Intel mini pc from minisforum with 4gb ram that runs a bunch of docker containers with caddy-docker-proxy (using docker labels for reverse proxying, like traefik, but simpler)

In that server I have the media server section setup with jellyfin, sonarr, radar, prowlarr, qbittorrent and the sysadmin section setup with portainer, glances, dozzle, and filebrowser and using dashy for the homepage.

Also I host some apps that I developed myself there

For most commonly downloaded torrents, webrtc support is not enough yet, that i know of. While torrent clients like transmission, qbittorrent and rtorrent do not support webrtc it would be difficult to guarantee the spread of this tech that would otherwise be great

Bro I'm 27 and I know as of now my job will probably never as satisfying as a I want. But is it a good job, I work with very interesting technologies, some interesting people and discover very interesting techniques, although the things I built is just some deluxe shit so some billionaires can be richer by exploiting a nicely painted set of data.

But it is mostly an easy job. It pays the bills handsomely. And I can take what I learn and use to help the communities I participate in.

Nothing will ever be perfect in that aspect and it shouldn't be.

Working for other people is never going to be as good as working in your little side projects, because that's how our capitalist society works and that's what we have to live with. All we can hope is try to make it better every day.
