"clown show" means something not organized well, so it's not exactly a foolish argument. Why would you hold VLC creators responsible if there are third parties spreading fake versions of it, and what can VLC do about it, and how does it help banning the original version? Why they need to contact the "local representative of that organization" instead of catching/banning other illegal websites?

So if someone creates few fake currency notes, will they ban all the original currency notes instead of catching the culprit?

Oh well, on that note, I remembered they did ban all currency notes of Rs.500 denomination to fight corruption, and then released new notes of "Rs.2000 denomination".

So they banned the original source after finding out that there were illegitimate versions of VLC disguised as the real package?

How did it solve the problem? Don't you think that after they banned the original, there would have been even more illegitimate versions?

>> Police in neighbouring Bihar state in the same year claimed rats had drunk nearly one million litres of alcohol kept in storerooms in one of the country’s few dry states.

Apparently, rats have learnt how to open the alcohol bottles. /s ;)

Nothing too innovative. But a hair dryer on hot setting will be very helpful in such a case. :)

As other comments also mentioned, maintaining an Electron app is not much different than any other JavaScript application.

My team used to work on large electron & non-electron apps. We used to have a tech-debt ticket every couple of sprints to review and update various packages in order to take care of any potential vulnerabilities.

Most of time updating packages is as simple as running "npm audit fix" command. But sometime we had to manually update major versions of some of the packages and while doing so, we had to take care of any potential breaking changes.

Having a good set of automated regression tests really helps with the process.

I recently used skype for a similar purpose and liked it. Its free, there is no time limit, and best of all we were able to record the whole session so that students were able to watch it again if they needed to revise the lesson. [1]

3 days ago it was announced that Scott Keogh, president and CEO of Volkswagen Group of America is leaving the CEO role to become president and CEO of Scout on Sept. 1.

Volkswagen is bringing back Scout truck as an electric vehicle, to be made in America. Scout is a VW brand, but it will be established as an independent company.

>> Now, amid a historic shift to electric vehicles (EVs), VW sees an opportunity to reconnect with U.S. consumers by offering EVs in the segments they care most about: pickup trucks and large SUVs.

>> Scott Keogh, president and CEO of Volkswagen Group of America, will become president and CEO of Scout on Sept. 1

>> He will be succeeded by Pablo Di Si, currently the executive chairman of Volkswagen's South American Region. Di Si will oversee the entire North American region, as did Keogh.

Just found a minor issue, when we click on any image on templates page, it gives a "Not found" error. May be you can link the image to PDF so that user can click on image to open the pdf.
