Short version, yes, but herdr is more mouse / touch friendly in my experience. I was using tmux for my mobile access before and after tweaking things it worked well, but herdr worked out of the box for me.
What about a signed attestation of your identity based on your passport? I don’t particularly want a future where we need to present ID for any online service, but for certain high-risk services (e.g. financial services, medical records, government portals) I’d rather a proper identity system than cobbling something like this together.
As an aside, when traveling internationally it’s not uncommon to need to provide your passport information if you want to get a sales tax rebate. I’ve never purchased something expensive enough abroad to bother with it.
I’m not a lawyer, but my understanding is that HIPAA wouldn’t apply to consumer use of Claude or ChatGPT in most cases, even if you’re giving it your health data. Look up what a HIPAA covered entity. This is another reason why the US needs a comprehensive data protection law beyond HIPAA.
Phone either, I’ve moved countries and no longer have access to the phone number I signed up with. I was hoping they’d address this before that number came up for reassignment but maybe not at this rate.
The fun one for me is that I moved countries and last I checked there’s still no way to change your phone number on ChatGPT short making a new account, so now my account is associated with a phone number that I no longer have access to and will eventually be reassigned to someone else.
My understanding is that white on pure black can be troublesome for people with a certain level of astigmatism as they will experience halation, which can make things appear blurrier.
One thing also to keep in mind, is that this experience is not uniform throughout the US. Many Americans like -their- employer based insurance, even if they don’t like the system. I personally pay nothing for visits and nominal fees ($1-10) for prescriptions. I have not been hospitalized while on this insurance, but my understanding is that it is relatively low cost. I also have no monthly premium. Meanwhile, my mother works at a small business, pays a significant percentage of her income for insurance from the ACA marketplaces (the public marketplaces created during the Obama administration) with the current subsidies, subsidies that are in question under the current administration. The American healthcare payment system is broken, but we aren’t all living through the worst case scenario experiences that get the attention. Add to that the amount of money and effort that went into turning healthcare reform into yet another partisan issue, and there’s a good recipe for maintaining a broken status quo for a while yet.
Yeah the closest thing I recall using is tasker but that relies on mostly private intents, the nice thing with shortcuts is it uses the same intents developers use for things like Siri Shortcuts so there’s first class support
