What's the easiest way to get started with trying Apache Kafka/Spark/Flink on the cloud? If I want to try out Redis there's RedisLabs, CloudAMQP for RabbitMQ, Compose for Postgres/Redis/RabbitMQ, offerings like Google Cloud SQL/MemoryStore and AWS RDS/ElastiCache, etc. Where do I go for some easy Apache deployments?
(While I understand passion is important and you won't make it far in either without it) Which profession would you suggest just "for the money"? Doctor or Software Engineer? Taking into the account the time and loans it takes to come online as a doctor, and the assuming the person is good enough to become a surgeon or code at FAANG? Great website btw, and so inspiring.
Besides #1 where I don't have much of a choice, I struggle to make progress towards both #2 and #3 sometimes. I feel like maybe I should just focus on one or the other at a time e.g. I'm not even 1 year into my new job, so perhaps I don't already be practicing for another, and should just concentrate on my app after work.
