It's hard for me to express how much I dislike their marketing website. Sometimes when you have a "cool idea" you should sit with it a moment and then pull back.

Regardless how natural AI becomes I’ve yet to replace any human relationships. Where do you see the aim of technology as trying to replace people? You might be using it wrong.

Fantastic to see this. I use voice a lot. It’s not quite lived up to my expectations but I think this gets much closer.

Keycloak is excellent.

I nearly considered using them recently. So glad I dodged the bullet!

Give me a break. How many times has an IC complained about all the management layers to get something done? You can't have it both ways -- plenty of upward mobility, but no layers to the org.

We can’t buy affordable memory for Fortnite but everyone is running Mythos locally? Is this the year of Linux on the desktop too?

36 people using Claude is not $1.3m per year. I can assure you that you do not know the full details of that agreement, assuming any of those figures are true.

Tackling this at the network layer has limitations. Stripe bought Metronome, which inserts at the application layer. Arguably makes more sense.

You’re right, it’s looking stellar. Well beyond great. Real, and unprecedented, revenue growth will do that for a company.

Have you followed Anthropic at all?

I exclusively use 5.5-xhigh-fast within Codex and find it superior to Opus 4.8.

This is such an absurd statement. What US aerospace has created post 1969 is nothing short of remarkable in comparison. (And we can be proud of the Apollo era too.)

AI is just autocomplete. -> AI must be regulated. -> We want AI.

Wait, what happened to wanting a safety first mindset and government regulation of big tech?

I understand that all employees have equal salary pay (apart from sales people who can earn more and are valued higher). Do all have equal equity and voting rights, at least within common stock?

And since transparency is a core value and principle, will you commit to sharing your cap table publicly?

That’s not how it works. Investors don’t mandate operational decisions. That’s for… operators. What they do ask for, in exchange for their investment, are things like revenue growth or certain margins.

You can crap on those investors. The answer then is to never take their money. But without money, the job probably wasn’t created in the first place. So the result is the same.

By the way, ever work alongside a really crappy non-executive and wonder how on earth they’re keeping their job? I sure have.

For the sake of clarity, it's well above its historic IPO price, but near or slightly below where it began trading that day once it officially opened.

Yes there were all these people talking on the bus before wireless headphones.
