> The surprising thing about so many of the artists is that they only work 2 or 3 hours per day, then spend the rest of the day walking around, socializing, etc. But they consistently show up and put in the work and it adds up to some amazing things over time.

Artists don't have stand ups, team meetings, planning sessions, one-on-ones, commutes and whatever other office distractions to deal with though. I suppose figuring out how to survive as an artist is distraction enough.

I think by "quit" they mostly mean look for a job elsewhere with a different employer. "1 in 4 workers (26%) plans to look for a job at a different company once the pandemic has subsided, ... " [1]

> AFAIK in US just the health insurance is very expensive.

Health care, housing, education, retirement are incredibly expensive in the US. Day-to-day life in the US is also quite expensive for most Americans. Most people in the US are in massive amounts of debt with little to no savings.

Aren't they all contractors through Cognizant though? It's not like Facebook staffed up an extra 30K FTEs.

> 99.99% of things delivered by USPS are spam at my house.

How is that the fault of the USPS? Mail "spam" wouldn't go away if UPS/FedEx took over the postal service via privatization.

If they match too precisely though wouldn't they lose out on tons of recurring revenue?
