Where 1.0 focused on discovery, 2.0 helps you hit the ground running in your new place featuring information on, SIMs, Money, somewhere to live, getting around, and places to work.
All good feedback, thanks! I purposefully started out basic to test if this is something people wanted. The payment is low enough to allow for this. The goal was to launch then iterate.
I've noted what you'd look for.
That's good feedback, thanks. This is mostly for people already working remotely. First is getting basic country information in one place (fact, visas, etc.), then information on getting settled, such as how to rent or open a bank account.
Absolutely! This is just the beginning. Just figuring out the right way to capture feedback, and we'll get started, iterating based on what people request.
Based on the success of Silicon Valley, an increasing number of countries are trying to make it attractive for startups to be based within their shores.
They do this through startup visas, special programs and economic zones - here's a list of them.
Netlify started out by allowing you to host static sites, so this is easy to do. Anything additional that you might find useful requires extra steps, and is not as simple as it could be.
One example is selecting a particular region to deploy. With us it's as simple as selecting the region you want to deploy to from a drop down menu.
Other stuff like our detailed uptime/status monitor and the ability to roll back to a previously deployed state are also worth mentioning.
Unubo uses one flow for each deployment type, so in case you wanted to deploy something else in the future, you have the option to do so - and are already accustomed to do it.
We created Unubo to simplify cloud deployment. It provides the easiest way for you to deploy anything whether it's a Node.js app, a PHP based serverless function, a PostgresSQL database, or even a Ghost blog.
Thank you! People need time to trust you, to host their stuff in prod. We’ll hope to win your trust by listening, iterating, and going for the marathon, not the sprint. Time will serve as a trust builder.
