<Command> + <Tab> cycles open applications, but
<Command> + <~> cycles windows in the current application context
I find this two-dimensional switching incredibly useful for multitasking, whereas Windows just flattens all windows to the alt-tab list, which quickly becomes overwhelming if you're a power user who doesn't like to close windows.
My mistake. And thanks for the correction! I read of the story when it broke a few weeks back, and honestly it didn't surprise me one bit at the time (were Microsoft have attempted such a maneuver). I quickly posted the link without following up on the story... only to realize the err in my ways. Good looking out. Cheers ;)
