Genocide sometimes isn’t apparent until you’re looking at it in retrospect. Today we’re seeing Israel carpet-bombing Gazans. We see settler colonialism wiping out the indigenous population of the West Bank. If you read most of the Wall Street Journal’s media on Palestine, all of them scream war and retribution (in words for polite society, of course). I can’t convey to you in a few words their overall bias, but that’s has been my experience with the WSJ, from defending Netanyahu’s judicial reform to calling for blood and destruction at any cost for Israel’s enemies.

In past years, that is precisely how we ended up with Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and Jordan—they are refugees from previous Israeli offensives. This is nothing but a continuation of that.
