> generate a special bootstrap key you can print and save

So ... a password?

Also in this scenario you've been robbed. It's quite possible that either they took your printed out passkey also since it was in your wallet, or you're not at home where you can get the pass key from your file cabinet or safe.

Opioids are no joke for sure. If you have good self discipline and can limit yourself to one every 2 to 3 days, it can be amazing and safe. But it makes you feel really good and many people don't have the self control required, so I recommend staying away. If you develop a physical dependence, it is not pleasant to say the least.

I get very little effect from weed unless I take a huge amount, in which case I also feel miserable with "too much" symptoms. It just doesn't seem to work for some people

It's hard to find stuff on Usenet. I subscribe to two different paid (and not super cheap) indexes, and it's still routine that I can't find stuff. If I look over at pirate bay, it will be there about 50% of the time

I totally agree, but we're going to need to figure out better ways to verify correctness of what the AI tells us. This will be pretty hard since we can't hardly do that with human-produced stuff either. And further if the AI is trained on human-produced stuff that contains lots of errors... I don't really know how we're going to do it.

I've recently been using ChatGPT to learn about Linux networking stuff, including most recently how to setup a bridge connection for KVM that behaves the same as virtualbox's.

Given how catastrophically wrong (confidently wrong at that) ChatGPT has been, I cannot even imagine the frustration that will be for doctors from people who don't understand how LLMs work and think they are "thinking."

But suppose the government dropped the hammer and banned any AI. Is it even possible to enforce? It kind of seems like the genie is out of the bottle here.

I for one would be very happy if they clean up the 32bit parts. On Fedora I haven't been able to get rid of a start-up warning saying 32 bit libs are missing (installing them doesn't seem to fix it). Fortunately I can launch games and do Steam Link just fine, so it's more an annoying dialog to click "Ok" on. But it does break anytime they push updates as Steam can't restart itself. I also occasionally have to `pkill -9 steam` as it doesn't properly handle signals so will ignore anything it can. Minor complaints to be sure, but would be great to get cleaned up.
