Opposed to holding the event during the earth's orientation towards the sun, aka daytime? Someone should tell the gala and event organizers about this idea of daytime.

You have a very peasant perspective. And that's not meant as an insult, it's just the kind of perspective of a peasant about what is going on in the kingdom, let alone in the palace's inner chambers.

I hate to break it to you, you are already in an "Orwellian mass surveillance state" and just don't realize it, just as the majority of people in the Orwellian mass surveillance state also were not aware of.

Case in point, are you aware that the whole 2+2=5 line was a deliberate falsification of a perfectly sound and even healthy statement that Orwell stole and perverted, i.e., 2 + 2 + the people's enthusiasm = 5 ???

Then, when you start finding out that the CIA, at the same time that it was conducting its MKUltra "experiments", was aggressively buying up all the rights to 1984 and then pushed them into schools and made the movies in close collaboration with Propagandawood; you have to at least start asking yourself extremely uncomfortable questions about whether 1984 was actually a warning or preconditioning, aka grooming.

That would be a good thing for you to research to build an understanding for the scale of what you are simplifying. Here's a start; just alone during a rather non-pandemic of 2020-2022 the USA alone used about 1.8 billion, with a B, gloves per week ... week.

As with the data centers, starlink is not actually what people think it is. There’s a military purpose underlying its public front

You’re not dumb. It has come up in extremely sophisticated valuations of SpaceX pre-IPO, if I recall off the top of my head, the only business that actually had any value, StarLink, assumes an irrational TAM.

It also creates a private internet on which “private enterprise” does not have to abide by the Constitution or any subordinate laws.

Sure, it’s just “fear mongering” now, just like digital ID, digital currency, mass surveillance, and speech police were 30 or so years ago, but what happens when terrestrial cable internet gets too expensive and everyone’s subject to Elon’s space internet?

It’s basically the similar playbook as the cable/copper phone network giving way to the internet and wireless and … whoopsie … you also have a tracking and permanent surveillance device on you with no ability to keep thousands of corporations harvesting your body for data and information.

Waze is way better for that and where Google gets its data, but delayed it seems, because they’re both Alphabet.

Always the rows about some kind of BS that fragments, fractures, and defuses the efforts into pet projects instead of ever actually being a viable alternative for the majority of people to corporate offerings.

The hardest thing about any effort that is two or more people is the interpersonal, coordination, consensus, and organization aspects. Everything else is easy in comparison.

That is not a logical way of locking at it. You can’t simply “practically zero” the not-zero marginal cost, on top of acting like there’s not a fixed cost that is literally the reason you rationalize that there is “practically zero” marginal cost.

It’s equivalent to “I should live in your house for free because the marginal cost is practically zero”

> The reality is much more banal that they still need warrants and tech companies hate playing police/evidence servant for the government

I will not elaborate how I know, but that is not even directionally correct. But these are not even secret things that can’t be known simply through the Snowden, Wikileaks, and Vault7 releases. So why are you telling yourself this? Are you still wet behind the ears or something?

There are people who know exactly how governments do not in fact need warrants and the tech companies don’t even really know they are servants to the government, let alone which one. That’s how things are done. The less surface area the better.

That’s effectively always the point in this fake America (and no, that’s not a recent characteristic), misleading; or more specifically false confession, preemptive narrative control, and a form of poisoning the well.

See, peasants, we passed a bill to stop location data selling and the organs of the state called the mainstream media have triangulated and validated that for you; so now you can stop talking about your location data or that you live in a surveillance state that is inherently legitimizing of this fake American government that is a contradiction to the Constitution and the revolution in every single possible way.

What is ironic about that? There is nothing ironic about that. That's just you inverting and making stuff up out of narcissistic tendencies to deflect from the uncomfortable truth.

One person affecting the life of another out of selfish disregard is very much narcissistic, especially when it is an imposed and mandatory requirement that one is unable to affect. Me calling it out is what makes narcissists so activated and animated about it; and trying to deploy their typical deflection, inversion, distraction tactics.

How about this, if a bureaucrat's vacation plans are not covered by someone else that can perform their kafkaesque duties, then it means automatic action in favor of the citizen trying to follow the sadistic rules.

But that will also not be satisfactory to narcissists because it means they lose control and power over others. What do you think that feeling is that you are feeling on reading my proposal? There should be no risk in it since the system should/would simply make sure that there is always adequate competent coverage and some bureaucratic slave manager can whip the subordinate serf into compliance with whatever sadistic rules and processes that were put in place. But that too will cause narcissists to twitch because that means they will be accountable and have to be competent.

You are both missing the target. It's far too complex to fully elaborate on here, but suffice it to say that Europe has broken an iron triangle of choices, which not only limits the number of concurrent choices possible, but also require a minimum of choices to be sustainable.

Talk about narcissism. You don't want anyone to have any guilt even when they adversely and negatively affect others.

How about this, you don't put others in a bind or adversely affect them if you don't want actual guilt, regardless of whether you want to feel it or not. This is the kind of messed up mentality that I was saying is so prevalent across Europe, if not narcissism, very much narcissistic in nature... I don't care about anything or anyone else but me and my vacation/time off.

And no, please don't try to distract with the red herrings. I am not advocating for employees to be abused; there is in fact a middle ground which I am advocating for, where if you want "guilt free feelings" ... DON'T BE GUILTY of abusing others by not caring about your responsibilities towards them.

It does still apply to companies, which, if you have some standing, let alone paid relationship with; have a duty to engage in that relationship. But I am also mostly talking about the bureaucracy, since that is in fact the OP topic, bureaucratic entitled narcissists simply just leaving others in a lurch because they go on a month long vacation, literally causing and costing damages and financial loss to someone.
