It's designed as a modern take on 20th century newspapers.

It took several over a dozen iterations spanning two months for me to settle on this one.

I realized much later that the recruiters don't really care about the portfolio, as much they do about the keywords in resume.

Very well written and detailed counter views.

Personally I'm pro vaccination, but I do feel that media covers one sided opinions only.

We should hear the story why people don't want to get vaccinated than just label them in the wrong.

I respect your right to have an opinion, although it may be different from mine.

That would be an interesting world. I wonder if humans will get to experience rings in this century.

This is fascinating! It definitely needs more iterations, but once the learning curve is achieved, something that uses 8 fingers. vs. 2 thumbs is going to be far more productive.

Good post, but even better design thinking and execution. Thanks for sharing, and good luck on next steps!

I wonder if this applies to just google drive, but also google cloud storage buckets?

They missed the auto playing videos that follow the page as you scroll with sounds on and need to be manually stopped, and download 50 mb without my permission.

I agree with the idea. Miss a regular non intrusive web experience too much. The only place I usually find it is here on HN.

Long interview rounds are not only a significant cost for companies, but also for individuals.

Each hour of interview costs a company ~$100, in the time of the interview alone, not to mention scheduling overhead, frustration and recruiter's time spent. 5 rounds for 5 candidates == $2,500 (1 week's salary on average at big tech beginner roles).

For each candidate, that's 5 * (whatever they are getting paid, let's say $50) == $250.

If companies think of it this way, they might as well get some candidates for short amount of time to see a fit, instead of countless rounds spanning months.

Ideally, they should also compensate interviewees for their time, which I doubt will ever happen.

The EU is constantly putting fines on the tech giants, but I don't hear so much from other countries.

If all private data is equal as a human right, then the cases should be filed by every country, but I doubt that's happening.

Perhaps this is because EU is in power and representative of the largest collective paying user group?

Also what happens to the fine? Does EU keep it, or actually give it out to the users who were affected?

Living in shared apartments, most rooms in major cities have just the space for a bed, not even a table or desk.

I wonder if most of the people are working from bed not just being lazy, tired or exhausted, but also because they have no other option.

Everyone just trying to make money off of her story is very sad. Both her courage to fight, and put things into perspective in such an eloquent way is inspiring.

I wonder if the news outlets doing paid promotions using her name will ever respond with an apology, or a follow up post.

The answer to the title is simple.

"It depends on the person".

Each individual has so much going on today, that you could create a billion environments and people would still not be satisfied with the weather.

Anyone can be a CEO. All it takes is a registering a business with the govt. The apt title should be: "... and still be a successful CEO".

The question is whether people want to be CEO, and is that what their life's calling is.

Interesting I even saw Ads on youtube that play this song. I wonder if someone was paying for them!

I disagree. Everyone should use Github. It's free, and paid versions are less than half the price of any other paid app there is.

Commenting only on the "support ticketing system".

Just in case it did, it would radically deprecate a bunch of tools and simplify life of small dev teams.

Oh me and everyone I know have been waiting for this.

Why use any other Issue tracker if Github can do this itself? Countless integrations would be replaced by this. I wonder what would happen to all those dashboard / issue tracker / project tracking apps now.

This is an interesting concept.
