Same feeling. It used to be something, and mean something.

Even in graphics, there are only two leading engines, with other minor follow-ups.

Everything is rehash of another rehash, and infinite recursion.

What is the point in all this if it means we can't get value from it?

Who is extracting value? Who is defining value? I am really curious and want to know this value that people keep saying.

Idk about west, but in many part of the living world, value is having access to clean water, reliable food, electricity, and health.

Apart from that, what is valuable?

I implemented a game and shipped into app store. It was a simpler game unlike the titles you mentioned.

It was more arcadish, retro vibe games.

It is extremely easy to do, since LLMs can write everything in godot and godot template files too. It includes UI too.

Limiting factor is person's ability to test and manage complexity as it grows.

That is my exact question, this niches or micro niches, it just collapses too.

Say John Doe starts a voice note for psychologist/cardio surgeons that integrates patients ECG reading live into the notes along with a voice.

5 months post launch, there is going to be another, then another, then another.

So what was the advantage will John Doe have at that point?

Yeah, PhD would be an overkill. On top of that, PhD at top labs are super-competitive.

Thanks for some check & balance.

That sounds like a solid advice!! Thanks for pointing it out!! What if they reject me there too? What is the plan B in this situation?

this is exactly what I was referring to. You are saying it is emotional without understanding the real circumstances of the situation.

There is no legitimate way for me to migrate out or to get a position that is remote other than the one I have. I do not have skills that can attract any other roles to myside. The only skills I have is very specialized to a narrow field.

I go to therapy and its hard. Even he agrees.

Anything that would make my resume standout. I do not have that "wow" factor that screams, "I want to work with this guy." As a result, even for the jobs that I am qualified, I can't get an interview. It is average. Super average.

Plus I feel that no one wants to work with me. Current work environment has made me question my skills. I believe I am sub-par at what I do.
