Address matching isn't exactly a new problem. USPS provides an [API](https://developer.usps.com/api/18), and there are several python/ruby/any-other-language libraries/modules that would also just be a call instead of however many dozen lines of custom code you have to test.

Would be very interested in the longevity of this solution. It works today, but will it work in a month/year? A library file on the computer running the rest of the code isn't going to change.

Because they are directly responsible for the Bill of Rights because they felt the Constitution didn't provide enough protection/clarity in some cases.

That last little "(though not without trad-offs)" is doing a lot of heavy lifting.

Not that there isn't some general truth to what they're saying, but it's definitely the rose-tinted glasses 'how it should work' view of Japanese corporate culture.

What M&A are you familiar with that they can typically happen in a 6 day timeframe?

I know this is already a stressed straw man in the first place but M&A are aren't a short simple process anyway. Adding some oversight isn't going to change that.

Yes there are tradeoffs to more regulation vs total anarchy/free market. That doesn't mean they're not worth it. "Good" is not the enemy of "perfect" and all.

This is SOP for businesses, especially internet businesses, trying to lock down competition so they don't have to compete but can just be the only relevant business.

Getting bought up has not generally been a positive thing for anyone but the founders cashing out in a long time.
