The article also said that BTC has already dropped into the dead zone just one year ago during the pandemic crash. Tether is still alive and BTC is worth 10 times more.
I don't know how reliable of a prediction this could be.
I don't know exactly what to say when reading this. I'm astounded that somebody could consider this a reliable explanation. Still, I can assume incompetence from whoever did that, but the person who drafted it is clearly in bad faith. How can that have no repercussions?
Assange has been subject to extensive illegal surveillance by the US government, while inside the Ecuadorian embassy, which also included access to private communications with his lawyers. This on its own would already be a reason to deny extradition, since it fundamentally undermines his capability to organize a proper defense and thus to get a fair trial.
Let's not make it look like "more than a dozen" articles is even close to enough coverage. If this was an extradition hearing for somebody to be extradited to China or Russia for the same reasons, there would be hundreds of articles for each hearing session.
Discussing with sources and encouraging them to leak is standard journalistic practice. It has been discussed extensively during the hearing with the help of several expert witnesses.
> If it is criminal for Assange to obtain/receive/disclose the documents in question
If it's so, you have to virtually prosecute every investigative journalist.
Or one may compare it with the way journalists collaborate with sources. In fact, it has been discussed in the hearing how Assange behavior is exactly what journalists do to get access to privileged information.
I don't know how reliable of a prediction this could be.
