The word simple jumps on me as a semantically unpractical word. Simple can mean direct, as well as short. PG refers to simple as direct, i would argue. Especially when you read the last words of this text, when he talks about editing a draft. He describes how he achieves simplicity in his writing. That's the most important aspect of this text.

On the first glance i really like that approach, but i have the feeling that something is missing. They address the issue, that different people can be on different stages in different axes, but there is no real explanation of how to handle the differences. Someone can come in with little knowledge about the technology, hence not using it before but is very well suited to "lead" discussions about architecture or processes.

basically i would call this planning ahead of execution. But totally cool, if this helps the author

when i understood it correct it will enable you to use typescript-ish language features in standard node projects without a compilation step. which is pretty cool for small to medium size projects

Of course a quite short post. But indeed spinns of a couple of questions about our current reality. Going to remote work as one point. Of course this does not help the nurse in your local hospital. But i do hope, that it will have a major impact on our social lives regarding carework for your family. A shame that i found out about the death of graeber through this post…

You can use other service providers where you can send money as you want, don't you? paysafe and other stuff that is used primarly on adult content sites :D

You are right regarding visa and other middleman of course. But it is not a problem most people have, isn't it?

This is correct. But i guess the article argues about not already solved problems. NLP is in the most cases so powerful and easy to implement, that i would argue it can be viewed as a more complex version of a heuristic. My thought comes from the idea, that you need to act up on the data NLP-Algorithms bring to you.

First i thought it is a promising idea and a cool new technology. But after some research and usage in an university project i really changed my mind. Most "use"-cases that come to mind are better served with classical "money". And what really gets me furious is the fact, that everyone tries to use the solution blockchain for their problem. When really it is ONE solution for a specific kind of problems. So that's my changing thoughts on the topic blockchain. Would really appreciate informative links that don't praise it as an asset in the end.
