People with no programming background doesn't like tui because:
1. they know nothing about terminal and shell, which is the basic running environment for tuis. There's little they can do when something break.
2. they don't like over-whelmingly complecated keybindings. Remember the time when you don't even know how to quit in vim?
For geeks, ledger-cli-like tools and emacs like editor is enough.
For normal users, there're other better choices.
