It seems to me that Google once had wonderful regular expression searches. That all got blown up when they introduced "Google+", thereby destroying REs.
Could you explain more about this "Basic" free tier? When I go to https://groups.io/static/pricing, I see a free 30-day account, after which it becomes $20/month. You're not the first person who has said there's a free plan at groups.io but I don't seem able to get one myself. Have their plans changed recently?
It has seemed to me for quite some time that Amazon deliberately tries NOT to return what you are searching for. Oh, they'll give you one or two items that fit your search criteria, but they'll also return lots of stuff that they think you'll be interested in and possibly buy.
Way back when the CS department was still in Old West, I remember seeing Dr. Brooks at different lectures and talks, always taking notes. I try to emulate his example but I'm nowhere as consistent as he was. At least in my old age I'm still trying to learn things, just as he is.
Yes. I use list view most of the time because it hides images and lets me see thousands of items as quickly as possible with a minimum of scrolling. I use feedly, but still miss Reader, which had some features that feedly is missing.
Blockchain Girl and the HN commenters go on and on about the end of nation states, apparently imagining that they will be replaced by free individuals, being all libertarian and everything!!??
The word "corporation" is not used even once there or here!!
