Among people voting for Trump, immigration is usually their first or second concern besides maybe “the economy” — and the two aren’t divorced from each other. So I don’t think that’s particularly anti-democratic like you say.
It sounds like she arrived without being on any sort of Visa. I haven’t found any mentions of one, other than she’s a pending asylum case. That could just mean she walked up through the border and claimed asylum.
It really shouldn’t come as a surprise, I think. If you walk into another country without a valid reason to be there, you’re going to be asked to leave. Honduras isn’t currently at war, and a ton of people are abusing the asylum process for purely economic reasons. I feel like articles like this are trying to paint this behavior as cruel and unusual, but it is just the usual.
The top-ranks on the leaderboard has me convinced this is a poor predictor of actual attractiveness to actual humans. You should have an option to privately rate a photo and not post it publicly. Seems like a big oversight.

It’s never been easier to make your own software. You don’t even need to know how to program. You don’t even need to buy an operating system. You need like $200 for a shitty laptop. People doing good and interesting work aren't reliant on these agents. People writing these posts aren’t outputting good software — let alone any software anyone actually cares about. Where’s the billion dollar game franchise written mostly by Claude? It doesn’t exist.
The discussion around any AI topic trends towards these low-quality hype train type discussions. It’s like I live in a separate world than these people. AI is useful but it is so extremely limited and error-prone. It makes me question the skill of the people writing articles like this.
