I know this is April 1, but you should really run your own DNS server.
just one?
One local unbound process seems to work quite well for me
You're thinking of resolvers.
I know this is a joke. But, with the way the world is headed, this seems "likely".
My question is, say a law was passed that effectively outlawed unauthenticated and unlogged DNS access.
Could that be implemented today with something like DoH and client certificates?
I found this draft that seems to cover some possible future implementation:
https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-tjjk-cared-00.html

This might be a fun weekend project for me... Ugh rabbit holes.

This is exactly what we need to protect the children!
April Fools.
lmao almost got me. scary times...
They got me - with age enforcement in the OS I figured it was the next step. Bad joke in my opinion.
Too close for comfort.. I could believe this was true just about any other time..
First thought: well, that figures.
"Thank you for your attention in this matter" (eyeroll). That's what tipped me off that it was a joke. Well and the absurdity of it.
Too believable for an april fools :( Palantir really was the icing
[flagged] lol.
