I'm a former software engineer and technical lead (Informix, Lockheed Martin) with deep experience in UNIX systems, database tooling, and mission-critical application support. My past roles include software development, advanced technical support, and custom solution engineering for enterprise and defense environments.

I also founded and ran a successful online ticketing business (peaked at $460K/year), where I built and integrated systems across eBay, StubHub, and direct sales — experience that sharpened both my technical and sales acumen. (Building solid relationships with vendors and buyers mattered a lot more then.)

I'm seeking a position (FT or contract) in Customer Service and Support (mainly because that's where I offer the most unique value-added immediately) but am open to Development, Publications, or in whatever role has a need. particularly those roles that value pragmatic problem solving, old-school personal engagement, or breadth of experience and perspectives.

I can work locally (South Bay preferred if onsite) or remotely, contract or permanent, W4 or 1099. Note: I could be an ideal match if you want a full time Silicon Valley in-person presence without the typical upcharges.

If there's a Best Buy in your area, ask what hours the Samsung specialist is on site.

Similarly, there are people who moved adjacent to San Jose's Reid-Hillview airport and then complain about airplane noise from civil (small prop plane) aviation.

Reid-Hillview airport opened in 1937 when nothing but farmland surrounded it.

1980s broadcast constraints didn't apply to 2000s Pay-TV programming.

That's a ridiculous characterization. How about you name the episode or indicate exactly what elements of the dialogue support your claim.

IMDB shows no series using the name "The Corner" other than a 2019 talk show.

Hill Street Blues was excellent, if somewhat constrained by 1980 broadcast television standards and practices.

There's an original light bulb from 1901 in continuous use at a Livermore, CA fire station:

Unless you got an exceptional price for those GS5s, I'm missing why you prioritized that particular model, which was five generations old by 2018.

I had two. One bought new, one bought off Ebay. Never had trouble with either, but I had abandoned them by 2016ish. I rooted one (to get around mobile hotspot limits), later unrooting it when Tmobile stopped treating tethering/hotspot punitively.

The GS5 was the last of the line with removable battery. The GS6 was the last with an IR port.

One impressive aspect of the Galaxy S has, for me, been reliability. Mine have dropped to hard surfaces many, many times with no damage (aside from cracked glass, with which it still performs fine).

To be fair, none of those other cities is a year-round magnet for homeless to move to from other areas.

SF is a pile of poo compared to an average Dutch city.
SF is a pile of poo compared to an average American city, too.

The problem is assuming that a guest is "questionable" based solely on appearance.

Those are not mutually exclusive conditions . One does not need to be native-born to be a citizen or legal resident.

Note that in the Pearl High School shooting (item #1), Assistant Principal Joel Myrick had to retrieve his gun from his truck parked off campus because it had to stay outside the "gun-free school zone". It's unclear how many of the 9 victims could have been avoided but for the "gun free school zone."

I'd bet that your drug dealer has suitable connections.

  Terrorism doesn't need weaponry.
Indeed. Even if you deem well-coordinated attacks with just edged weapons (like the fictional ones in "The Following") unlikely, note that the Multiple-Victim public homicide with the most fatalities in US history used not a single firearm.

(and I'm not talking about 9/11, although it could count as such as well)
