Until retroactive DRM is injected into old titles and we can't play single player games w/o verification. Brought to us via Microsoft (after they buy Valve).
AAA studios are probably working on platforms for this as we speak. Gamers are a gullible bunch - preorders, microtransactions, special editions, remasters. They tolerate it all. Gaming has to be one of the most rich sectors of consumerism out there. Kinda pathetic actually.
This has nothing to do with capitalism and everything to do with enforcing law and order. People aren't stealing bread and milk to survive. Notice what products are behind plexiglass in large cities, its not food/essentials. District attorneys across the country are refusing to prosecute crimes like retail theft.
If anything I'd get a heat pump to supplement my wood stove, but I'd like to have solar first, because the electrical rates are very high and have friends who have installed heat pumps to only trade expensive oil bills for $400-500/month electric bills. I do like the dual purpose with air conditioning. Your product is attractive, way more than the ones I've seen out there, and I think that'll be a good selling point. Best of luck!
i'm glad to have a wood stove, electrical rates keep rising, and wood is pretty consistent (plus I source some on my own, tons of free firewood if you know where to look) ... unfortuantely it doesnt solve my hot water problem, but one 200 gallon tank of oil lasts me over 1.5 years
Does anyone remember xfire? I had such a popular username on there that I'd often get messages to sell the account for several $100 as a young kid, which I never did because I liked the name so much.
That was my favorite chat/IM app for gaming. That plus IRC + whatever in-game messaging/chat service, worked just fine. I dont know why they need "community" now ... or "archive" ability. Seems to overcomplicate things.
