Absolutely incredible how dense HN can be and that no one has explained. Obviously that isn’t what they are saying, they are saying it’s profoundly stupid to have the server be controlled by a simple string search at all.
I want to use rescript but the unit testing story seems non-existent, there's some vague mentions of using Jest which is just an awful choice. If there's a way pf using Vitest with it, or something at all, that would be good.
I haven't used a Pebble, but I wanted to mention something I have seen praised a lot on HN and elsewhere. Apparently, the Bluetooth stack on a Pebble is absolutely legendary: reliable, dependable, robust, you name it. It still works reliably today seemingly thanks to their very diligent software design.
I hope that element of it will continue to exist as-is on these new ones? I mention this because Bluetooth is still generally speaking very meh.
