I agree that logging is essential in any system, but I read most of the original comments as tossing console.log(foo) at various points to manually observe the outcome.

The approach you described is much more structured and absolutely vital.

I really cannot believe what I am reading in this thread.

It’s pretty trivial to setup a debugger in most IDE’s these days and share a config with your team.

Print logging falls flat on its face in async systems.

I feel like the ven diagram of people using text editors as a replacement for IDE’s and people doing print logging must be a circle.

The US credit system is plenty authoritarian in its own right.

I locked my credit when I left the US, and I have no intention of ever unlocking it.

Free yourself from a broken system and experience the world that doesn't treat you like a wage slave.

Recently created an alt account and they still do this.

It was mostly “influencers”.

One thing I have noticed is that Twitter REALLY wants me to follow Elon Musk. He’s at the top of pretty much every recommendation I’ve seen on the site.

Coupling this with pg jsonb fields can be really powerful. Opens a lot of doors for configurable UI with robust validation.

I enjoy working with typescript as an alternative to JS.

Recently was working on Deno project and not having to worry about esm vs commonjs was so so nice.
