No way, dreams don't have to be realistic, that is what makes them dreams not goal or checklist. And I miss the time I still had any.

We are down to 3 manufacturers thanks to RAM boom and bust cycles. The remaining ones are the one that know how not to over invest.

The thing that changed was perception. People no longer believe loyalty to employer is worthwhile, just as they no longer believe hard work is what gets people rich.

You are absolutely right. The dangerous part of NPM packages is the post-install script. Therefore moving from JavaScript to Java removes the threat.

> encourage sites to improve their markup

With Google's quest for "zero click" search results I am not sure if there is still any pressure applied on site creators. Does SEO matter anymore when my first "organic" result is below AI overview and sponsored links? Why should anyone help third parties to rip content from their website?

I was surprised when they dropped the requirement, not now.

It has to be most lukewarm product reveal ever. What was the point of such coordinated advertising/PR campaign, just to announce lite/refresh version of Spark DGX?

11 USA states have Non-Recourse mortgages where you also are "not on the hook for a single penny."

Cloudflare is already too powerful, their anti DDOS solution is just too good. But their serverless products/features don't really build on that, they are just another hosting company.

Artifact in this context is whatever is produced by build process. That is common convention in CI/CD context. And the base definition for "artifact" is very wide: anything artificial, as in not natural but made by humans.

I would be more interested if they are ever going to cancel HAN unification. Looking at their "Factors for Exclusion" list it could be summarized by "we made some mistakes in past but are sticking to it" :D

> he enjoyed the thrill of feeling superior to others [...] He got caught through a mistake that was really dumb in retrospect.

It seems to be common occurrence. I still can't get over that one hacker who dumped stolen data on forum, to sell it/prove his capabilities, in form of tar.gz archive, that accidentally included his entire home directory

Every time I end up on wikipedia page for some math or CS term I just give up on reading and search for other source, any at all. I know it is supposed to be an encyclopedia, and I am sure definitions are technically correct but it just isn't what most people need. I remember wikibooks project tried to bridge that gap but it never got popular enough. I guess it is just easier to compose short notes compared to writing full blown manual, and its much harder to split such work.

On one hand browsing web is completely impossible without adblocker. On the other hand the only sites that can survive without any ad revenue are product spam blogs that participate in "Amazon PartnerNet" and similar affiliate programs. Well, unless Google AI starts stripping referral link or replacing them with own one (Honey/Brave style). Do we even need search engine when there are just few hundreds of huge sites left?

I am not sure results of single test launch matter much. The issues with SpaceX IPO aren't even related to rockets: it is the very low float, Musk making himself irremovable from CEO seat, and buying xAI at inflated valuation. If people are willing to buy such stock, even V3 blowing up at launch pad won't stop them.

How about real money or even Apple Gift cards?

Wasn't that already clear 2 years ago, with introduction of AI Overview? And "Zero click search results" was a goal for Google for much longer.

Reminds me about similar "manifestos" about netiquette, properly asking questions, searching web and answering emails. And I expect exactly the same impact - none.

There is a cascading effect when malware targets developers and uses stolen credentials to push more infected packages. And not everyone is even aware they were affected, so there are going to be additional data leaks discovered some time after initial infection wave.

They are not even hiding. I stumbled upon on some niche subreddit where autor asked for advice on maintaining pool of about 50 accounts, as he has trouble to keep up with attrition by his own, yet it is too small to justify investment in "commercial" tools.
