Its kind of disturbing to see speculative articles like these make a quick huge wave and creates some kind of impact. Most of the logic behind picking these 5 are based on the stock price, on the other hand if some well known wall st person makes a stock pick, price shoots up. I think this article is little over the limit.
I do see problem with trust, not many would do that unless you are already proven before you join a work place. Moreover if you are a talented programmer, some see you as a threat.
So after being a long time lurker on HN, wrote my first comment and got downvoted, but don't know why I was downvoted, there were no comments. I prefer replying during disagreement and downvoting when a comment/post doesn't make sense or gets stretched in a different direction.
What if Jeff Bezos took that funding how much ever that he used to find the rockets and used that on education. There are many in different countries who doesn't even have basic education needs. I am not saying Jeff is the doing the wrong thing, he worked hard, he earned it, he might have or might be doing charity work, but the satisfaction you get just by thinking that you can help some kid get educated is more than finding rockets. Just my thoughts.
