typical vice.com click bait. They compiled an existing malware platform for the M1. They did not write anything new or exploited actual issues/features of the M1
Tried running rails on it? Its like 10x slower then mruby still in my experience.
It is the same issue I've seen with jruby and rubinius back in the day: they claim it is as performant or faster than mruby, but then you port a simple rails app and it hardly even manages to start the server. Not sure what these ppl are doing for benchmarks, but it ain't representative
Good point. Frankly, NATO should have been disbanded along side the Warsaw-pact. That being said, the lack off outcry reminds me a lot of a certain period in european history... Appeasement, i.e. we pretend to be surprised about the genocide
Its' not about that they 'start killing each other', its that the US has purposely left a people defenseless against a know aggressor. The USA has once again enabled genocide. Of their allies this time.
As with many historical figures, I feel we need to separate the person from their legacy & achievements more. Yes Gandhi was a dick, but the fight for a free India and the end of the caste system seems a good cause to me.
That doesn't mean it was 'all worth it' or 'ok, beacuse...'; it means the person and the effects they had on the world are not the same thing. A terrible person can do good & a good person can commit heinous acts.
The other way around the ridiculousness is more obvious: The nazis fixed the German economy and saved the country from collapse; so the whole genocide and war thing are no longer relevant?
> why re-inventing the wheel and create yet another containerization system?
Because that is how we make progress. Try different approaches, learn and evolve the ecosystem. That is how we got usable containers in the first place, it's not a new idea and variants have been around for decades. But only now we've seen it evolve in to something usable.
At least they are trying to solve problems. It might not be the best/right solution, hell it might not be an improvement, but if we don't try, we will never learn.
