I'm an individual software contractor and I pay for a personal plan. GitHub UI and UX appeal to me more than competitors do. Also it seems that all the libraries I regularly use keep their code on GitHub, it feels like a community to me.
What if I know how to code and most of the tools that I can't find can easily be implemented in crude yet effective scripts? Usually I weigh out the cons and the pros and end up creating a simple script/task that I, as a programmer, can efficiently use, yet it's far away from being published.
Am I the only one who makes something useful for self only to understand that it requires substantial effort, time and devotion to turn into an open source product?
