2016 is known in meme culture as a the climax of American culture, and I subscribe to this belief too. Everything since then has just gotten dumber and dumber. Not sure if DJT is cause or symptom but I do think the history books will regard 2016 as the beginning of great decline for America. Maybe we will put DJT away but the conditions for his rise to power remain.

I like everything about this idea but "one-shot". I work _with_ an LLM, but as Wozniak said, "Never trust a computer you can't throw out a window".

here's my [similar take](https://github.com/testeranto-dev/testeranto)

I have often imagined writing a book, roughly "Fahrenheit 451 but with computers instead of books". Imagine a world you do not buy an iPhone- one is assigned to you at birth, a world were "installing software" on "a computer you own" are not just antiquated or taboo, but unthinkable.

Testeranto - The AI powered BDD test framework for polyglot projects. There is a implementation now in ts, golang, rust, ruby, java and python. Add the language(s) that you need to your project and launch the server. Testeranto will run your BDD tests in docker and produce a set of results and logs. These logs, test results and your code are fed into an LLM, which fixes your tests for you. In essence, you write the tests and the LLM fills in the code.

AM3 - (Allied MasterComputer or Artificial Mind, version 3) - An attempt to make a symbolic AI that approaches the capacities of a LLM. An LLM makes variations on the same code and schedules those variations to play in "games". The results allow the LLM to make further changes.

I still think the internet could undergo a "collapse" and rapidly shrink to something resembling the 2000's internet. The enshitification of everything is quite literally, "mining out" the value of the internet, hollowing everything from below. At some point, nothing is believable and putting your "content" online amounts to giving it away. Eventually, the users _will_ walk away and suddenly the whole affair falls apart.

I have built a multi language bdd test framework. A human can write the bdd specs and an LLM will generate the code to match.

We must stop pretending that we can implement restrictions that will keep us from becoming unfocused. You can delete your account, but you can always recreate it. You can add facebook.com to your etc hosts file, but then you can always re-edit that file to allow those domains. Focus is a mental discipline. The only way to focus is to focus on focusing.

I find it remarkable, and depressing, that so many people just cannot handle the idea of insect protein. You get similar resistance to water reclamation from sewage and nuclear power. How are we supposed to change the world when we always hamstrung by all the mercurial and irrational whining?

All petroleum was created from ancient forests before the evolution of microorganisms that could decompose fiber, so the plant material was simply buried and gradually became petroleum. Above ground, evolution produced organisms which could break down fiber. My point being, that not only is petroleum very useful, it is exceptionally rare on a geological timeline (at least on this planet ). It's like a cosmic trust fund, and like most trust fund recipents, we utterly squandered it. We took all this free energy, burned it to power ai slop, and poisoned ourselves in the process. We should have been using that oil to push humans out of the gravity well to Titan where petroleum is abundant. But no, we wanted big cars, cheap electricity and single use utensils.

Edit: I was mistaken, confusing coal and petroleum. While petroleum comes from microscopic ocean life, coal forms from the remains of terrestrial plants.
