Recently discovered species. I asked myself the same question, but then read the caption on the photo of the newly discovered leech, where it says "Scientists know of up to 700 leech species but suspect thousands more exist."
But, it would be nice that even though many species face extinction today, there are new ones enriching the earth as well.
Submitting content for sake of karma is spamming, no matter who wrote the content. Why not share with others something you think they will find useful or noteworthy? People tend to ask themselves first WIIFM and if they find the benefit, they share. Let us remember that sharing is about others.
OK, maybe you should Google "farmer update" and read a bit about that.
Then check your backlinks. I could not find those 500 backlinks you bought. All I can see are 59 external links from 3 unique domains. So what have you done with them them when you got them?
I like these rules. I can`t agree more with you about applying to people`s self-interests. I think that principle "I`ll scratch your back if you scratch mine" is very powerful. When friends receive your request for help they will often look for a reason to help you. So, it might be a good rule to give them in your request an answer to WIIFM.
BTW, I experienced the truth of #45 - Preach the Need for Change, but Never Reform too much at Once. We are creatures of habit and hate when someone threatens them.
I don`t know if this will help, but I am using extension Too Many Tabs for Chrome. Not that it is as awesome as TabMixPlus for FF, but it helps.
And there are other similar extensions. I haven`t tried all of them, but here is the link: https://chrome.google.com/extensions/search?q=Tab+mix+Plus
Good point. I kinda like the one that goes:
"We are what we speak".
If I don`t have something nice and encouraging to say, then I just don`t anything. I give my best to accomplish this.
What I especially like about this model is the following:
"content becomes more important than the creator, which is unlike virtually any other online community. Rather than prioritizing the most valued and experienced users..."
This is the foundation of creating value.
Good point. I find it hard to remember whether Facebook ever participated in an initiative like this one. I also wonder if majority of dedicated FB users would actually care to pay attention.
I completely agree. They must improve (or at least) maintain the quality of their search results to keep users. The fact that it is the most popular search engine is what brings in advertising dollars in the first place. So, the users are the key. SEO spam hurts them, just like it annoys us, so this is one of the attempts to fight it.
Exactly! If you put Salvador Dali in the story, make it worth those 1000 dollars. There are some really good points made, but not eloquent enough.
The way I see it: working hard + branding = success
I love the MJ example. This is actually what I first thought of when I read the title of the article.
The way I see it, the point is in trying, giving your best and not giving up, not in chasing failure. One should not be afraid to fail, but should always strive for success. And work on it!
I agree. I think that immigration itself is a risky undertaking. One has to abandon everything familiar, which is by no means easy, regardless the difficult circumstances. Besides, all the rich kids in the US today we are discussing and capitalists are the descendants of immigrants.
I would not say that immigrants are risk-averse, but I think that obtaining a visa or green card mainly keep them from entrepreneurial ventures. Or maybe language barriers.
Yes, that was my first impression too. Looks much cleaner, info displayed better. The old ones look a bit stuffed, they highlighted simplicity in the new ones.
Well, there are many web analytics tools that will show zou historical data, you can use Google Analytics for free, then you also have Google Webmasters Tools which you a different insight into your website.
But monitoring the traffic in real time is a real curiosity. That is where Hummingbird comes in. Very neat.
