Motorcyclists don't usually kill an entire generation of people when they T-bone a mid-sized sedan in an intersection. That's the problem.

It's not a "policy" it's a constitutional right.

I don't think it's a "problem" that justifies taking the rights away from millions of Americans, no.

A right enshrined in the Constitution is not a "loophole".

> artist behind AI is making money. Real work, real people are happy.

I would not call someone typing words into a prompt an "artist" doing "real work", and they definitely should not be monetizing it.

Flash storage prices have also risen substantially, just not as exponentially as RAM

If you were planning on buying a Mac, do it right now through a third party vendor like Best Buy or Costco. They have not yet adjusted their pricing and in fact, have sales currently running. Both have the Macbook Air on sale for $949, for example.

The majority of the component cost in the AppleTV is likely the storage so that's a big hit.

The biggest one that jumps out at me is Amazon replacing their review search box with "Rufus", which searching the entire context of an item on Amazon, including descriptions, reviews, everything. It then wants me to ask it a question instead of doing a boring search for keywords.

If I'm looking at a product and want to search the reviews for the keyword "battery life" and see what real, actual people are experiencing, I can't do that anymore. A search for "battery life" in Rufus always returns some nonsense like "Many customers report good battery life, while others say it's runtime is shorter than expected". I want human experience! I want specifics! Why is everything sanded down to "good or bad"?

Consumers are tired of going through a popup slideshow of "Try our new AI features!" they won't use every time their apps update.

What is is about management where they can't see how bad and half-baked these customer service agents are, but the customer can tell INSTANTLY they're AI and just not helpful in the slightest

Roku's hardware business is only 10% of their revenue now. The vast majority of their income comes from their FAST streaming service, which they promote heavily on their devices.

They haven't been platform agnostic for a while now. Swapping out one streaming owner for another really isn't going to move the needle much.

Apple has historically always been about pushing devs forwards and dropping support for legacy systems.

Their attitude has been "we built new hardware, we built new software, we have the tools to develop for these new systems, adapt or die".

This Rosetta 2 transition is actually a couple years longer that their first PPC -> Intel transition. There's more time to adapt this go around.
