Really? I broke my Geforce2 MX, so I had to make do without a graphics card for a couple of weeks. I think halflife ran ok in software mode on my Athlon XP 1700+.

I might be misremembering though. Perhaps I scavenged some basic pci card, but that should still have been worse than the ProSavage.

Clever. Wish I had thought of that.

Wouldn't the same improvements have been made in zig if they instructed the agents to improve instead of rewrite?

Correct

Garbage. You can't include training by the companies that develop an llm in the comparison against companies that merely use the same llm. Apples and potatoes.

If those are concerns to you, you are not really the target audience.

No. I thought it meant the haptic feedback was for a human to make it easier to find the charger in the dark ir something.

No. The reasoning is just an illusion. As soon as you look at it closer, it falls apart completely.

Like a horoscope.

I suppose we humans are so good at reading between the lines, that we will see meaning where there is none.

Absolutely no one needs a steam machine.

That is already allowed.

What does the quote mean?

As you point out, I would prefer to parse a text string as early as possible, so that I could pass around structured data instead of having to parse the same string over and over.

That seems so obvious that I can't imagine what the author meant.

You should add inky and pinky so you can corner pacman. Their movement is dependent on blinky, so you would be in control of all 3.

I get kind of nostalgic when I see Verdana on 1024x768 in winxp/2k.

When I was in college, I drove my carless chemistry geek friend to an agriculture store. Apparently they had a reasonably chemically pure fertilizer.

When I was 12, I made a "smoke bomb" by placing a fire cracker in the bottom of a tube and topping it up with powdered clay. It shoot out a 4 m tall plume of dust, which was cool and all, but I thought it would look a lot more impressive with a black plume.

So I painstakingly ground down some charcoal to fine dust and redid the same experiment. That gave a much more impressive boom, but no dust plume, which puzzled me until I learned about dust explosions.

"Could not connect to translation service" was apparently good enough for someone, so the bar must be extremely low.

https://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/3e786n/chinese_hair_...

On the other hand, a lot of people become extremely put off by the smallest sign of ai slop. And the llms have a tendency to impart their style to any text they touch.

> I did compare a few individual chapters between the Ellsworth translation and the Fable translation.

I'm pretty sure the Ellsworth translation is in the corpus. You basically instructed claude to regurgitate it.

The llms all have the more famous books memorized. You can trick them to recite them more or less word for word.
