Do you realize that the entire purpose of this very website is to facilitate the propogation of material found on other websites, many of which contain user-generated content?

seriously, i can't believe this thing got upvoted. how do they expect to compete with imagemagick, batch mode gimp, and the like? or even client-side JS libraries like pixastic?
termkit is a failure because it throws away forty years of unix history. it's not a shell to run in your regular terminal, it's not compatible with the legacy commands, it's not even an extra layer to provide support for new features. it's a complete re-implementation of the entire set, trying to do too many things at once.

The chips actually make the entire card easier to counterfeit. Someone just has to walk by you with the proper radio and your card will speak up and give out all the information necessary to make charges.

they do have cameras that see the ground. but for reliable measurements, you'd need essentially a constant video stream going back to earth, which is expensive.
and you have to deal with all the different ways a camera might malfunction. the shape of the wheel is much less likely to be wrong somehow.
if you're really concerned about time, it's faster to pull some epoxy out of your drawer and slap it on the pipe than it is to call up the plumber, schedule a time, spend a vacation day so you can wait around at home for the plumber to show up in the estimated time window of "noon to five", answer the door for him, stare down his ass crack while he works so he doesn't steal anything, and negotiate a price when he's finished (money is time).
