This does not look to be “military” spending on Ukraine, it’s all spending.

> As of 2026 Q2, the U.S. disbursed over $116 billion in aid to Ukraine and is obligated for a total of $177b. Yes the rest is being disbursed despite Trump's political antics

Where are you getting those numbers from?

Same here, it's often neither blue nor green, so this experiment is pointless.

And by having more of those blanks filled humans might be able to come up with much better extrapolations than what we have right now.

> Nobody in the cabinet can speak up and overrule his whimsy?

Who will be overruling that "someone in the cabinet", when things start going the wrong way again? There is always someone on top, and in the US it's the sitting President.

> It's about on par with the ridiculousness of LOC implying code quality.

Most effective engineers on the brownfield projects I've worked on, usually deleted more LOC than they've added, because they were always looking to simplify the code and replace it with useful (and often shorter) abstractions.

> I mean, it's literally a link on a web page. You click the link, it takes you to The BEAM Book's page.

Now instead of putting the details in the title, you have me reading paragraphs of text and clicking links to figure out what the author is talking about. Did I understand you correctly?

The curse of knowledge in this thread is mind boggling.

Because of you ask a person who works on Beam about “the Beam book” thats the one they are going to recommend. Who knows that the BEAM book is literally called “the BEAM Book”? There are many books like that, “the SRE book” is actually Site Reliability Engineering: How Google Runs Production Systems, etc.

> Ask people if they like it when prosecutors charge a guy with 30 crimes for committing one act of armed robbery

This is usually resolved by not adding the jail times for the crimes, but by doing MAX(a, b, ...) on them. Prosecutors will suddenly only care about the most important ones.

> That's good enough reason for anyone to get off GCP.

I fail to see how this is even a reason to get off GCP, yet a good one.

> you can't yell fire in a crowded room and not get litigation and charges brought against you.

Of course you can yell 'fire' in a crowded room and not have any charges that stick brought against you. Are you arguing the point it is not allowed to yell to a large audience? Or there is something else here you are not mentioning, like for example whether or not the statement is true is the actual crux of the matter? Of course you can yell 'fire' in a crowded room - if there is a fire!
