Unrelated to the feature itself, but remember a few months ago when someone posted Github's beta feature for stacked PRs, and a ton of people slammed them for releasing a seemingly vibe-coded site? To quote Mitchell Hashimoto, "One of the most requested GitHub features in years and the website looks like it was designed by someone 9 years into a 2 year community college program."[1]

When opening the posted link, my first thought was "imagine if the stacked PRs site had the same amount of effort put into it as the Github Copilot App site". They clearly have other preview features on this site already, so maybe I'm just confused on why stacked PRs got some b-grade announcement site. The obvious answer is "copilot", but I'm still curious.

This is something that really upset me going into Tron Ares. I had a blast rewatching Legacy beforehand and picking out somewhat realistic shell commands. Ares ditches a lot of these shell commands in favor of everything being a script. `./start_ares_program`, etc. IIRC, we still see a `systemctl` or two in the movie, but definitely less fun than Legacy.

Hilariously, it looks like basically everything except Copilot is degraded. The jokes write themselves sometimes.

Really interested to see what this looks like in practice. As cool as I think "trusted by your circle" looks, I think it'd be helpful to see "trusted by this project", to know what the repository's contributors think, not just my following.

I've been working on saving money on AI credits, and built a multi-model chat application (https://bobrchat.com/) to provide better insights into what each message costs in tokens. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it's saved me plenty in comparison to some other subscriptions out there.

Used to pay $8/month, now I use around $4!

Spent longer than I'd like to admit trying to recreate the Balatro background effect...
