Sad to see them distracted by OpenClaw given how bad GLM5 has gotten with complete radio silence from zai team.

What started as groundbreaking open source model and affordable coding plan was heavily quanted / KV cache quanted ~14 days ago leading to model bleeding thinking tokens into responses, no assistant messages, repetition loops at very low context sizes (despite claimed ~200k context).

The currently served GLM5 is _not_ the same model that was launched, benchmarked or is the open source FP8 models served on openrouter / kilo code / chutes etc..

A quick visit to their discord[1] or twitter [2] shows both the pain and radio silence on the sever GLM5 issues.

Perhaps this is a response to GLM5 being abused by OpenClaw, which is stupidly token hungry, but feels more like distraction rather than focusing on stabilizing GLM5.

Fastmail requires payment meaning it is very closely tied to your identity. Proton is one of the very very few who do not tie a new email account to your identity via phone number, payment info or alternative email (which requires phone, payment info etc..).

Even proton only provides webmail free - pop3/imap/smtp require payment. But that's still better than 99.99% of other webmail - everyone verifies via some method that ties to your personal info.

Paywalled but would be interesting to see data on the percentage of SKUs these store brands displace.

Anecdotally have seen local regional chain systematically replacing a large number of SKUs within a product category with their own brands - Ex. 25 bacon SKUs across 10-15 brands down to 10-15 SKUs and only 2-3 brands aside from their own.

Same thing across Cheese, Milk, Salsa, Pasta Sauce, Salad Greens and many other categories.

Playbook seems to be establish large store and create local monopoly / oligopoly then aggressively copy anything that sells well and remove the competition from the shelves to create a local monopoly category by category.

Own brands are cheaper but much lower quality. As a shopper you have no choice - it's either the house brand or nothing now in a really high number of categories.

Totally fair - but just call it Source Available then.

Open Source has a specific definition and this license does not conform to that definition.

Stating it is open source creates a bait and switch effect with people who understand this definition, get excited, then realize this project is not actually open source.

Congrats on the launch!

Can you clarify the license and if this actually meets the definition of Open Source as outlined by the OSI [1] or if this is actually just source available similar to OpenWebUI?

Specifically can / does this run without the /onyx/backend/ee and web/src/app/ee directories which are licensed under a proprietary license?
