Thats the entire point of the Apple ecosystem. They want to control the entire user experience end to end, and it is why many people like Apple products so much.

They're either going to keep getting their access cut, or sued into bankruptcy. You can't really piggyback off another companies service in violation of their TOS without things working out poorly for you IMO.

I kind of think of this picture when people get a bit overzealous on blaming the phone for everything: https://qph.fs.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-8e4223c6702a14f56c69c0...

How is it possible to determine if you've violated a random patent from somewhere on the internet via a small snippet of customized auto-generated code?

Does everyone in this thread contact their lawyers after cutting and pasting a mergesort example from Stackoverflow that they've modified to fit their needs? Seems folks are reaching a bit.

From the faq:

> GitHub Copilot is a code synthesizer, not a search engine: the vast majority of the code that it suggests is uniquely generated and has never been seen before. We found that about 0.1% of the time, the suggestion may contain some snippets that are verbatim from the training set.

I'm guessing this covers it. I'm not sure if someone posting their code online, but explicitly saying you're not allowed to look at it, getting ingested into this system with billions of other inputs could somehow make you liable in court for some kind of infringement.

Do you not have a standard hood over your stove? Seasoning has never caused issues for me in the 4 or so places I've lived and done this. Usually keeping the oven door shut fixes 98% of the issues, and the fan above on high sucks up anything else.

This is user error though and not any fault of AWS.

I live on East 6th st too and the neighbors here in my complex seem the same. I did meet some folks during the power outage since everyone came together to make sure we would all survive the week and helped some neighbors apartment which was flooding, but everyone is younger and in their 20s and aren't overly friendly.

I've really met random nicer people when I go out and drink on 6th st who happen to be coming thru town, or random more friendly folks who happen to chat with strangers out when eating/drinking, or when going to shows (before COVID wrecked that) around town by myself.
