to be fair i see signal as a alternative to a more secure texting means in presentation. of course this requires data so then there may be better alternatives for sure but what people are used too.
for the longest time ios would have facebook\twitter in settings even if you uninstall it(still residual but mostly deleted and took miniscule space) but at least you could get rid of it within a few taps.
it is fear of uncertainty. not knowing how to deal with something or even assess because you don't know the problem.
there is big business in people with answers as well con men.
