> We’re all derivative thinkers in the end

Some more derivative than others.

If someone is going to expound on unique thought, I’d hope they live in a cave in the woods making unique cave drawings with their feces or riding a pale green elephant wearing magnetic boots upside down within a large refrigerator.

If you want to really be a unique thinker, sure you can listen, and aggregate, summarize, but don’t regurgitate.

Solution to democratic elections:

- Candidates are chosen at random from the public. They can decline or accept.

- Each candidate must pass a rigorous psychological exam.

- Voting consists of people walking into a chamber where the candidates each sit in a chair held up by a rope. The voter pulls a mechanical lever to nick the rope of candidates they dislike. Heavily disliked candidates will have their ropes cut and fall onto the sea.

- If selected, candidates are guaranteed to be provided with food, shelter, and healthcare for life.
