Claude is absolutely terrible at writing unit tests, this advice continues to perplex me. Coding agents usually slam you with hundreds of lines that do little more than “test” what is obvious. Maybe it’s good for an API revision or such. But for linear algebra where errors might not manifest unless suitably chosen inputs are generated based on expert knowledge, that’ll be useless.

Blaming this on billionaires instead of “the whole” who are customers of space-x is asinine.

I completely lost interest at the options part, it’s not that complicated of a concept. But substack writers have their type

I recently have been testing ChatGPT business at work and the quota seems to disappear almost instantly even using weaker models. Unless they dramatically increase their quotas it’ll be unusable.

Interesting. I wonder if the variant limits us now capped by how much you can pack in the vaccine, or how good a on the body does priming for a bunch of stuff at once.

Connect the dots also banned, though there is some discussion of loosening the rules to allow interpolating up to four points.

Are they really burning good will? For many users this is a deal breaker. But for the general public, politicians, etc they’re stamping “safety” on their brand.

Are these companies getting paid for this service?

> Better understanding of fuelling. … Better planning tools.

When I was young everyone acted like running was all about who could endure misery the longest. I think if I had known about these aspects it would’ve seemed more strategic and interesting (especially with smart phones to help). Alas, these days all my effort is in making sure my run doesn’t kill my knees :\

“Super markets trade money for food. An obvious outcome is that someone without money will shoot the employees to steal food. Therefore the purpose of supermarkets is to facilitate murder”

This comment is like 20 years out of date haha. People shifted to single hits when the iTunes store was selling songs for 99 cents. Now (and by now I mean for over a decade) we’re in the age of streaming, and you can easily access whole albums with zero friction. It’s the best time ever for the full listen through experience. And artists are responding by releasing long albums.

What I do think is lost these days is listening to the save album over and over again.

When you send your database a query, who do you think is gathering those tables?

> These days, the biggest customers are not gamers, creators, PC builders or even crypto miners anymore. Today, it’s hyperscalers. … > These buyers don’t care if RAM costs 20% more and neither do they wait for Black Friday deals. Instead, they sign contracts measured in exabytes and billions of dollars.

Does all this not apply to businesses buying computers for their employees?

For years I’ve read people claim that the reason spam emails were low quality was to filter for idiots. If the spammers are now reaching for coding agents to clean up the presentation, it seems that theory was bunk.

The real game starts when you use a tool like this to introduce a counter narrative. Now excuse while I’m off to play in my next professional basketball game.

Me too, but I’m going to have to upgrade. The lack of storage on my phone (64GB) is killing me - every time there is an os update I have to delete almost everything to make room

> This is where the gap gets wide. CLIs compose. I can pipe through jq, chain with grep, redirect to files. This isn’t just convenient; it’s often the only practical approach.

Unix style composability is a beautiful thing. But when was the last time you installed a set of tools that actually worked together like this? It only works for simple tools. And you can already connect all the simple ones you want (grep, awk, etc) through the file system.

Iran is hitting back at US bases so it could be related to those risks, rather than a full invasion.

(Crazy idea, maybe the people shouldn’t be left in the dark about their government’s war plans by having a deliberate legislative body debate and vote on it)
