I worked directly with the Ocean Networks Canada team for my engineering capstone project- they're a fantastic crew who are really clearly dedicated to providing open access to their data (they have a free API if you want to play with it!)

It's honestly a shame that this happened, but I hope they can use it to give a compelling argument for more funding in the future to expand the network (and make up the loss of data)

I own a pair of the Even G2s (with a prescription) plus the R1 ring - they started out a bit limited, but they recently added an app store for developers to create HUD applications for which has been fun.

They get a B+ as daily glasses, but if more than one of the "killer features" (e.g. teleprompter, conversate, live translate) really gets your attention they are worth it.

A lot of these were just company projects on their own subdomain being folded into the main company. I don't know if I'd consider that "dead" or "acquired", just restructured?

Someone should tell Anthropic that 89.999 is the wrong "four nines" of uptime

Good sign that Extropic may be on the right path here

A strange game; the only winning move is not to play

I don't mean to reply-guy this thread, but it builds on Windows (and Linux)

To be fair, this isn't just a random group of people - they're the people who made Atom, Electron, and Tree-sitter.

Be the change you want to see in the world (it is open source, after all)

I originally thought so too, but as far as I know Bard is available in France- so I have a feeling that language isn't the roadblock here.
