Google is so anti open it's the new Microsoft. I hope for a day when my phone runs nixos with Qt apps. Qt is so much better than java that I'm sure I'll be able to make do in 4gb what android takes 16gb for.

In the era of hallucinated apps, this doesn't even seen like an imaginary wishful scenario.

I understand your disdain for fandom but in this case this isn't a product by framework. This is a 3d part product resulting from framework's basic motivation and associated actions of nurturing a 3rd party ecosystem. I don't like fandom but we can admit framework's theoretical raison d'etre is pretty good

It's over. Open models and chinese models will make fast progress and that nvidia+ms 128gb monster is what everyone will end up buying. sama can go back to running scams.

Are there any rough estimates on popularity of lua implementations? At this point it feels lua means luajit

What are some pragmatic embedded scripting languages of choice these days if one has to consider:

1) Ease of learning, ideally minimal deviant behaviour (eg i consider lua tables to be a new concept in itself)

2) Reasonably fast. Not as much as lua jit but even half would be good enough

3) Mature

4) Has Rust bindings

Like him or hate him, Venezuela has been quite literally a fabulous win.

As much as I hate to say this, I'm afraid that Musk is abusing his capital power and Grok Build will end up as the top model eventually.

I tried it on a couple of projects and was (pleasantly?) surprised how good it was. I have no doubt in my mind that spacex needs to be broken up before they grow too big because grok build is going to be the future coding model of choice

All the loudest anti trump leaders are his friends. Couple days ago there was an nyt report that macron and trump talk on personal numbers extending the last syllable of first name. Emmanuelllll Donalllllld

Rust has "pascal style strings" (quotes because the concept is slightly different) so it's not a done deal
