I agree with what you wrote.

I’ve heard people argue that such action provides a spark for further change. Like brings a new perspective to a group that cascades into more positive effects.

It comes to mind the idea of “black children needing black superhero role models” or similarly for girls or other groups. I wonder to what extent this merely reinforces a racist ideology. Why can’t the role model be of any colour?

How deep is it, truly, that the tribal behaviour based on group similarities, are ingrained in humans.

Interestingly, amongst the well educated, or the wealthy, a different selection criteria is established.

Exceptions are raised. Events are triggered. Callbacks are fired.

Reddit played a game like this recently. 3 options, everyone casts votes for what they think will come in second place, you win the round if you vote right. Game was called second I think.

Keeping in mind that you might understand this better than me, I thought I’d ask.

Isn’t the notion of “things conventionally associated with men” the exact evil of gender based stereotypes that we’ve all been fighting against?

Is there still room for men who like to wear skirts or make up or perhaps some other female stereotype? And if there is, what is the difference created by identifying as a woman besides reinforcing harmful gender based stereotypes?

Very nice! It made me realise that rooms on one side of a building receive more sunlight than others over the course of the whole year, especially at higher latitudes.
